FourPhase Awarded Contract from Baker Hughes

FourPhase has recently been awarded a contract from Baker Hughes Azerbaijan for delivering their next generation surface solids removal system – DualFlow.

FourPhase provides patented continuous production and solids removal systems. The cyclonic separation technology engineered by FourPhase has already been successfully field proven in the North Sea and Saudi Arabia. FourPhase and Baker Hughes Azerbaijan will work together to deliver a total solution for solids management in the Caspian sea. The market leading solids removal system DualFlow is part of the flowback package being delivered. It will be used to remove solids after coiled tubing (CT) and concentric coiled tubing (CCT) clean-out operations.

Øyvind Heradstveit, CEO of FourPhase, said “FourPhase is delighted to secure this contract in collaboration with Baker Hughes Azerbaijan and we look forward to delivering a successful operation and developing a long-term cooperation with Baker Hughes in the Caspian region.” In response, Baker Hughes Technical Manager, Simon Smith added; “we look forward to working with the FourPhase team and implementing the flowback system. We expect the FourPhase sand removal system to help increase operational and rig efficiencies and deliver improved process safety and integrity.”

According to SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) 70% of oil fields produce sand, or other types of sediments, giving solids removal technology a major role to play in materially reducing costs and improving production efficiency in solids producing wells.
