Energy Ventures Names Jose’ Formigli to Advisory Board

Energy Ventures, an independent private equity firm focusing on innovative upstream technology companies with strong growth potential, announced the addition of Campos Basin managerial and E&P Executive Management veteran, Jose’ Formigli to the firm’s Advisory Board.

With more than three decades of experience in the Brazilian Upstream sector in activities related to well construction, subsea and topsides engineering, Mr. Formigli retired from Petrobras last April. Prior to his retirement, he was a member of the Petrobras Executive Board and supervised all domestic E&P activities. He is a Civil Engineer, having graduated from Instituto Militar de Engenharia (IME), Rio de Janeiro/Brazil with specialization in Petroleum Engineering. Jose’ Formigli has a MBA in Advanced Business Management from UFRJ/COPPEAD in Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to his role on the Energy Ventures Advisory Board, Mr. Formigli is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) from UK, as well as Doctor Honoris Causa from University of Aveiro in Portugal. Mr. Formigli also consults for the Oil and Gas Industry through his recent established engineering company “FORSEA ENGENHARIA”.
