Energy Ventures Hires Matt Anstead as Investment Director

Energy Ventures has announced the hire of its newest investment director, Matt Anstead. In his role, Matt will provide strategic input to the firm’s current portfolio in addition to supporting the execution of new investment opportunities on behalf of Energy Ventures.

Anstead joins Energy Ventures in the Aberdeen, Scotland office, bringing 14 years of engineering, analyst and strategy experience to the existing team. Prior to working with Energy Ventures, Anstead held positions at Schlumberger Drilling & Measurements, Wood Mackenzie and Booz Allen & Hamilton. Most recently, Anstead served as an investment manager for Simmons Private Equity, a division of Simmons & Company International.

Anstead received an MBA from the London Business School and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Imperial College of London.
